Aspiring fabric designer? Perhaps. Spoonflower free swatch day is here!

Its free swatch day at Spoonflower (well, until noon today)! Spoonflower is a website where you can get custom printed fabric with your own designs. I have been wanting to try it out for a while, so, naturally I had to pick a pattern to test out. I mean, come on, its free. I

the chosen pattern

ended up choosing a variation on the triangle pattern that I posted a couple weeks ago. I chose the canvas weight fabric so that, hopefully, I can make something out of it. Perhaps a luggage tag? I mean its a swatch right? I think its something like 5 in by 5 in. So, yeah… I’m torn between a that or a miniature tote bag for a Barbie doll…

Also, in other news: http://accidentalchinesehipsters.tumblr.com/  I don’t have any other projects to post as of now, but I might come up with something new by the end of the day. Only time will tell!

  1. Spoonflower swatches are actually 8″ x 8″, which is big enough to do a small bag, or potholder, a pocket, or small stuffed toy. Did you make something out of your swatch?
